Portify Go - React Native app for iOS and Android

Itiden and Portify have worked together for several years on the development and maintenance of their apps, which are available for both iOS and Android.

Visually, the app had looked the same ever since we took it over, and together with the Portify team we decided it was time to address that.

From scattered and outdated to modern and consistent in its execution.

Modernisation

Together with Portify's designer, we reviewed the colours and shapes used in the app and transformed them into a cleaner, more modern visual system.

Smooth implementation

Because we had previously cleaned up and organised the components used in the app, the new design could be applied smoothly without complications.

Four deliveries in one

Portify Go is only one of the company's apps. They also have three partner apps that rely on the same framework. That meant all four apps received the same visual lift.

Process

The design work started with a workshop where Itiden and Portify together produced a clear requirement specification. That requirement specification, combined with input from Portify's designer, then led to interactive wireframes that helped shape the final result. Once functionality and structure had been decided through those wireframes, a visual component library was created to serve as the app's building blocks.

By working in iterations with prototypes and test versions, we were able to gradually reach a final result that everyone felt good about.

The result was a clean, clear and modern app which, through strong contrast and colour, meets accessibility requirements and also makes future implementation work smoother thanks to the new visual component library.

About Portify

Since 1998, Portify has helped businesses and organisations manage their vehicle administration.

This is done through the company's product Portify Fleet, which acts as a hub for organisational vehicle fleets. In addition to organising vehicles, users can make bookings, manage driving logs and handle checklists.

Portify Go is an extension of Portify Fleet that makes it possible for employees out in the organisation to handle administration directly in their mobile phone, easily and smoothly.
