Case | JOYNA digital lottery

Together with Folkspel and BBDO Nordics, we developed Folkspel's next major lottery for community organisations, JOYNA. It is a fully digital lottery sold through associations and on folkspel.se. Itiden was involved early and developed a prototype to find the best solution.

What we built

Game feel

To create the right feeling in the game, we put care into making the physics of the bouncing balls feel as good as possible.

Integrated

The game is integrated into the new folkspel.se as part of the initiative that lets associations sell lotteries through their own association shops.

Community support

It has always been important for Folkspel to support Swedish community organisations. We made sure the player can see which association their ticket supports to highlight that contribution.

Development

The development of the JOYNA game for Folkspel was an exciting process that stretched from an early prototype to a finished product.

Initially, a prototype was created so ideas could be tested and iterated quickly. User testing was carried out regularly to gather feedback and improve the game.

The final result, developed in React, offers a user-friendly and engaging game experience across devices and platforms. JOYNA combines entertainment with social benefit and creates a winning movement where everyone participates and wins together.

Community organisations and JOYNA

JOYNA is more than a digital lottery. It is a platform that supports community organisations in Sweden. All profit from the game goes directly to the associations, making every play session a contribution to society.

Each association can create its own shop on folkspel.se. Through Folkspel's sales tool, associations can easily manage sales and share the shop with members and supporters. The proceeds from sales go directly to the association's activities.
