Case | PFAS Guide

We were commissioned by Chemsec to create a user-friendly yet functional database listing product groups and segments that may contain the harmful substance PFAS. Where is my Pony developed the design for what became a one-pager where all functionality and information are gathered.

Partner: Where is my Pony

What we did

In order to achieve a solution that both makes it easy for an editor to update and maintain the content, and ensures high performance, we chose Statamic as the CMS. A plugin was built for this that allows editors to upload an Excel file with all the content, where the cells in the file are mapped to different fields in the CMS. This makes it quick and easy to update hundreds of entries at once.

In addition, we built a block type that allows editors to enter more static information that can be opened and closed so as not to overwhelm the visitor with the amount of content. To make it easy for users to find product segments, a search and filter function was also built to help them find the right one.

Process

At Itiden, we received the design from Where is my Pony, which we broke down into components and mapped out which block types and features were needed. Continuous coordination with the client and designers allowed for minor adjustments to be made along the way until the final result was something we were all proud of.
